"My Plate" has replaced the Food Pyramid. Tax-payer money has been spent so that the government can tell you what you should eat! They say the food pyramid is too difficult for us to understand, so the perfect geometry for dictating to us what we should eat is a circle, representing the plate. Don't they have anything else to do?
