How the Stock Market Works - Cartoon Tutorial - Economics and Investing Video (1952)

How the Stock Market Works - Cartoon Tutorial - Economics and Investing Video (1952) Video Clips. Duration : 11.60 Mins.

thefilmarchive.org A stock market or equity market is a public (a loose network of economic transactions, not a physical facility or discrete) entity for the trading of company stock (shares) and derivatives at an agreed price; these are securities listed on a stock exchange as well as those only traded privately. The size of the world stock market was estimated at about .6 trillion at the start of October 2008. The total world derivatives market has been estimated at about 1 trillion face or nominal value, 11 times the size of the entire world economy. The value of the derivatives market, because it is stated in terms of notional values, cannot be directly compared to a stock or a fixed income security, which traditionally refers to an actual value. Moreover, the vast majority of derivatives 'cancel' each other out (ie, a derivative 'bet' on an event occurring is offset by a comparable derivative 'bet' on the event not occurring). Many such relatively illiquid securities are valued as marked to model, rather than an actual market price. The stocks are listed and traded on stock exchanges which are entities of a corporation or mutual organization specialized in the business of bringing buyers and sellers of the organizations to a listing of stocks and securities together. The largest stock market in the United States, by market cap, is the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). In Canada, the largest stock market is the Toronto Stock Exchange. Major European examples of ...

Review: Samurai Jack -- Code of the Samurai

Fans of Genndy Tartakovsky's "Samurai Jack," which wrapped last year on the Cartoon Network, enjoy the quirky storytelling and stunning visuals, also the martial arts sequences. Naturally, it was only a matter of time before the online gaming industry turned the time-traveling samurai's adventures into video games.

Cartoon Network

I haven't tried any of the games available for gaming console systems, confining my efforts instead to Cartoon Network's own Web Site. Its Games section features six games based on "Samurai Jack," including "The Way of the Warrior," in which the young samurai trains through several simulations for his eventual battle with the shape-shifting evil sorcerer Aku (deliciously voiced by veteran actor Mako in the series and console games).

Cartoon Network

The other games invariably feature Jack battling Aku's minions--robots, beetle insects, and the like. Two of the games feature a final showdown with Aku.

"Code of the Samurai" was a tie-in with a Samurai Jack marathon, so when you access the game, the interface asks you "Enter Code or Play." I advise pushing Play since the original marathon was two years ago.

Once you get into the game, you have to fight through three treacherous levels before you even get to Aku.

The first level features crumbling ledges, motorized spikes, machine-gun fire as you ride rock lifts up mountains, and of course, the inevitable baddies waiting to attack you. Tip: When riding the rock lifts, duck and jump to avoid the machine gun fire. Seize the opportunity when the second lift descends or ascends close to the lift you're on, otherwise you'll have to avoid the gunfire until the lift comes back within reach. The level features two lift challenges, all with a computerized attacker waiting at the top of the cliff.

The creatures on all three levels are adversaries that fans of "Samurai Jack" will recognize: zombie warriors, Terminator-style robots who look like they have baskets on their heads, and Aku's minions that turn into vapor when you attack them.

Tip: Try whenever possible to hit the targets with a good quick thrust of Jack's katana. The game says other weapons are available to Jack, but for some reason you only see him use his katana. Go slow and time your attacks so that the targets can't hit you first.

Jack gets five "lives," and you can see the red meter slowly shrink as he is bombarded with digital mayhem. Try to at least hold on to the fourth "life" when getting to the second level. After you clear each level the "life" you're currently on is replenished (Jack must have been drinking his trademark green tea.) When you get to the third level, try to keep at least three "lives," although you can get away with two. You need at least two to have a chance during the final skirmish with Aku.

At the end of the first two levels you do battle with a giant adversary more powerful than the others: a skeleton warrior on the first, a basket-head warrior on the second. The good news is you can watch its "life" meter and track your progress on defeating it.

The second level is filled with gears running amuck to mow you down, blades slashing at you, and on all three levels you run the risk of falling in slime or on sharp spikes, which make you lose a life. Tip: Time your jumps to avoid the gears, but don't get too jumpy, otherwise you fall into the slime.

The third level features spikes, moving platforms and even wider jumps, if that's possible. Tip: The vapor demons can appear anywhere and are more poweerful than the adversaries in the first two levels. But this workout is just practice, flexing your muscles for the clash with Aku.

The final stage features ledges that sink into lava--you have to jump fast before you fall in. The computerized Aku is quite impressive, and just as in the series, flies off several times before Jack can deliver the final blow. But be brave, be steadfast, be victorious, and you, gamer, will defeat the evil scourge! The conclusion to the game is satisfying and delivers the anticipated emotional payoff.

RightSize Network Marketing Company Review

When starting to research the RightSize Network Marketing Company I did a Whois Search. What I found out was that the company domain was registered in November 2002. When I visited the Corporate Website the first thing I noticed is that it had a Cartoon look to it. What they mainly do is sell nutritious Meal Replacement Shakes.

Cartoon Network

They offer a 6 week plan that will help you lose weight and feel good in the process without leaving you hungry. This product comes in 4 flavors which all include Appermine, which is a natural way to burn calories and manage your appetite naturally. The reason for this is, and I know this because I've taken nutritional shakes before, is a 150 calorie shake often provides the same vital minerals and nutrients as a 1000 calorie meal would.

Cartoon Network

Each of these shakes has 50% of over twenty of the most important Vitamins as well as Vital Minerals your body craves to function at peak capacity. One of the products they offer are Lean Cocoa Bean which is a powdered shake you mix that has a nice rich chocolate flavor. Lean Cocoa Bean contains Appermine which is made from Green Tea, Cinnamon Twig and Galangal.

This product is backed by Clinical Research and is Scientifically Proven to not only provide your body with the nutritional value it needs, but enables your body to control its appetite as well. It also contains Vitamins B6 and B12 which are essential at controlling your metabolism. You're supposed to mix one scoop of RightSize with 8 ounces of skim milk or fruit juice. When you order this particular product you'll get a 30 day supply.

RightSize also offers ready to drink bottles if you don't like using the powdered shakes. Each bottle is 14 ounces. With one order you'll receive 24 bottles, and each bottle contains 2 servings, for a total of 48 servings. It has essentially the same characteristics as the powdered shake but you'll save a lot of time and maybe a small kitchen mess by ordering the bottles verses the powdered supplements. It really boils down to personal preference. RightSize also offers a multi-vitamin. This product not only offers a wide array of essential Vitamins and Minerals your body needs, but it also has built-in appetite suppressors to help keep your hunger pains under control.

And not only this, we noticed a couple different Sugar Free Syrups on their website as well. They offer Sugar Free Caramel Syrup with Splenda and Sugar Free Cherry Syrup with Splenda and 11 other delicious flavors. In fact in my 39 years on this planet I've never seen 13 different syrup flavors before. And when I look closely at the prices of the products I've seen so far on their website, I was happy to notice that they aren't higher from what a health food store would charge for a similar product.

The company is offering a Distributorship. In order to become a distributor, you'll have to RightSize Business Kit which is available from their website. They also have an 877 number you can call to speak with a current RightSize Distributor who can help you get started. They mention on their website that you can get paid for Distributors up to six levels deep.

Team Builder Network Review

Team Builder Network (TBN) is a new generation home based business network marketing company. They are currently in prelaunch mode and have created their TBN business model which uses the automation and communication benefits of technology to ensure the overall success of their members. Here is my honest review.

Cartoon Network

The company has a fantastic mission statement "Delivering exceptioanl benefits, products and services to our customers and, by so doing, provide a rock solid opportunity to our team builders who enroll our customers". This is an affiliate marketing, discount ecommerce, shopping business. The members can take advantages of deep discounted pricing on thousands of products from the fortune 500 companies TBN has contracted with, such as:

Cartoon Network

- Air Travel
- Amusement Parks
- Auto purchase and repair
- Car & Truck Rental
- Hotel & Resorts
- Movie Tickets
- Internet

There are many other products and services that are available to the members. Their unique TBN New Generation Home Based Business Model provides members with these features to ensure their overall success.

- Leveraging Your Efforts
- Being in Business for Yourself
- Simplified Marketing Plan to Follow
- Great Products and Benefits that are in high demand
- Incredible Gold Membership Plan

TBN may be a little vague at this point, but it is absolutely free to join. This will gain you access to the discounted products and ability to start earning income. Income is earned by selling the products and servics through your replicated website. Not only will members earn commissions but will have the opportunity to earn additional bonuses based on consistent sales volumes.

The majority of the income will be earned through the 2x12 Binary Matrix they base their residual income from. It is a standard 2 legged system. It will require the members to recruit large numbers of new members who will do the same to earn a significant income. This is always the most difficult aspect of earning income with a network marketing venture. Most of the time members don't understand the complexities of the matrix and have no idea how they are being compensated.

TBN is a legitimate network marketing opportunity. Since it is in prelaunch mode the cost is . It is always prudent to do your due diligence and understand the compensation plan and speak with someone who is working the opportunity. The failure rate for a business of this nature is around 95%.

To overcome this industry statistic it is a good idea to learn the proven internet marketing strategies and methods so you are able to promote yourself and the business. This will allow you to drive the necessary targeted traffic to your website to increase you sales volume and recruit the massive amount of new members required to earn the significant income you are looking for. Good luck and prosper!
